On my bookshelves, tables, desk, and even my bed (don’t ask!), I’ve accumulated books. Somehow, I’ve managed to do the same with Udemy courses. You know how it goes: that tempting $12.99 deal that lasts three days, and before you know it, you’ve bought three more courses while still working on the other 15 you’ve already purchased.
I can’t be the only one doing this, right?
That’s why I’ve decided to take on the challenge of completing 10 (yes, 10!) of the courses I’ve purchased on Udemy over the last years. I’m telling myself that I can’t purchase another course until I finish these ten courses.
Why Do I Buy Udemy Courses?
As an introvert, I prefer learning by taking classes online and at my own pace. Introverts typically prefer to process information on their own terms, and online courses allow for this. You can pause, rewind, or revisit sections of a course whenever you need, and there’s no rush to keep up with a group. This flexibility aligns well with the introspective, thoughtful nature of many introverts.
I also find comfort in learning alone. I often recharge by spending time alone, and learning in a quiet, personal space—whether it’s at home, in a library, or in a coffee shop—allows for deep concentration.
Why I’ve Decided to Take On This Challenge:
- Self-Improvement: I believe in continuous learning, and each of these courses offers something valuable that can help me grow, whether it’s professionally or personally.
- Investment of Time and Money: I’ve already spent time and money on these courses, and it’s a waste to let that go to waste.
- Sense of Accomplishment: There’s something incredibly satisfying about finishing a course and earning that certificate. (Full disclosure: I have yet to actually complete a full course. I know, not a great track record—but I’m committed to changing that!).
